Halloween Haunted House
Updated: 7h
Happy Halloween from Hamden CERT! It was an honor to have 12 of our members to support the annual haunted house on Whitney Avenue that attracts hundreds of people from near and far. We set up at 4:30 and the line of patrons entering the haunted house cleared close to 10:00 pm. Our main responsibility was traffic management over a 5-block area & pedestrian management in this area with hundreds of trick-or-treaters walking throughout the neighborhood. We were able to manage hundreds of vehicles that traveled through this area along with vehicles merging from side streets during this 6-hour event.
It was an honor to work along with our Hamden Police, and a Special Thanks goes out to the owners of this beautiful house who have made Halloween so special to so many over the last 10 years. All proceeds will be donated to the Hamden Police Activities League program. Thanks to our members who supported this venue and the many hundreds of children and parents who came out to enjoy the evening.
